DAVID W. BADGER, Funeral Director
David W. Badger, a Littleton native and third generation funeral director, has owned and operated the Badger Family Funeral Homes in Littleton and Groton from 1977 until his retirement in 2016. He was Past President of the Littleton Lions Club, a member of the American Legion and served as the Town of Littleton Cemetery Commissioner for 33 years. He is also a member of the A.F. & A.M Tahattawan Masonic Lodge in Littleton. David lives in Littleton with his wife Barbara and remains active in the community.

Glenn D. Burlamachi, CFSP, a Concord resident and funeral director, has owned and operated the Concord Funeral Home since 2004, the Badger Funeral Homes of Littleton and Groton since 2016, and the Fowler-Kennedy Funeral Home in Maynard from 2014-2017. Glenn’s professional and business development experience has allowed him to qualify for his role as both funeral director and business leader. He manages and oversees all three funeral home locations and encourages the team to participate in continuing education through seminars and local community-based programs. In 2013, Glenn was invited to join the Life Celebration Community, an exclusive group of funeral profession innovators and thought leaders. This partnership allowed Glenn to transform how families heal by providing a memorable and customized funeral experience. In 2014, Glenn was recognized as Concord’s “Business Person of the Year,” in the Spring of 2018, the Middlesex West Chamber of Commerce presented Glenn with the honor of “2018 Business Person of the Year.” Glenn sits on the Board of Directors at the New England Deaconess Association and the Concord Chamber of Commerce. In addition, Glenn completed the educational and training program at the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice to become a Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (CFSP). Glenn earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management and Accounting from Green Mountain College and an Associate Degree in Mortuary Science from FINE Mortuary College.

GREGORY B. GALLAGHER, Funeral Director and Embalmer

Greg Gallagher is a licensed funeral director and embalmer in Massachusetts with over 25 years of experience. He graduated from FINE Mortuary College in Norwood, MA, and also attended Westfield State University, where he earned a Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice, and also an Associate’s degree in Thanatology, a multi-disciplinary approach to understanding loss and bereavement better. Greg’s role at the funeral home as general manager and team leader is to oversee the daily operations, including family conferences, Life Celebration administration, funeral arranging, and caring for the deceased. He is also a clinical coordinator with FINE Mortuary College. A caring and compassionate funeral director, he serves all families proudly, with dignity and respect. He resides in Hudson with his wife, Kathy, and enjoys fishing and following New England sports teams.

NORMAND E. MARCHAND, Funeral Director

Normand E. Marchand, a Pepperell resident and funeral director, owned and operated the Marchand Funeral Home, previously the Marchand-Pillsbury Funeral Home for 46 years. He merged with the Badger Funeral Home of Groton in August of 2019. Normand graduated from The New England Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences in Boston in 1966 with a degree in Mortuary Science. He is a member of St. Joseph Church in Pepperell and former member of the Knights of Columbus Council #317, Bishop Beaven Assembly, Fourth Degree Knight. Normand is both proud and honored to have served the Pepperell area and surrounding communities since 1973 and is looking forward to working closely with the Badger Funeral Home to continue to serve the needs of families with the same dedication and care he has always provided.

BRIAN J. LEVESQUE, Registered Funeral Apprentice

Brian joined the staff as a registered apprentice at Badger Funeral Homes in the spring of 2020. Brian discovered his calling for the funeral profession and began his formal education at the FINE Mortuary College. He is expected to graduate in the Fall of 2024. Brian’s role at the funeral home is to work with families to create a meaningful life celebration experience with photos and videos. He also assists the licensed funeral directors with funeral arrangements, services, and caring for the deceased. He currently lives with Jocelyn and two Japanese-Bobtail cats, Bobbi McGee and Tombo. Brian enjoys playing, listening, and researching all things related to music, as well as practicing written and spoken Japanese and reading various genres of literature.

MELANIE A. FAUCHER, Registered Funeral Apprentice

Melanie is currently a registered funeral apprentice at Badger Funeral Homes. She is a Rob Roy Academy for Cosmetology graduate and is currently enrolled at FINE Mortuary College in Norwood, MA, pursuing an associate degree in Mortuary Science. Melanie’s role at the funeral home is to work directly with families and oversee all digital and electronic photos to create a meaningful life celebration experience. In addition, she works closely with the licensed funeral staff to care for the deceased as well as assist with many of the daily functions at the funeral home. Her empathic, caring, and dedicated demeanor has proven to be highly supportive to families. Melanie resides in Lunenburg with her husband, Michael, and their daughter Sophia.

Caroline Burlamachi is a registered funeral assistant at Badger Funeral Homes & Concord Funeral Home. She graduated from Concord-Carlisle High School, attended the University of Montana, and is enrolled at Fisher College in Boston. Her role at the funeral homes is to assist with office functions and create meaningful life celebration displays.

DONNA CASTLE, Funeral Assistant
Donna Castle has worked at the Badger Funeral Home for 27 years; she is responsible for the care of the deceased and the overall appearance of the funeral homes.  Her dedication and caring demeanor have been a constant support to the families served.  Donna resides in Westford and has owned a hair salon for over 30 years.  She enjoys spending time with her granddaughter.

ELLEN TWITCHELL, Comptroller, Administrative and HR Executive

Ellen joined the staff as full-time bookkeeper for Badger Funeral Homes in October 2016, she is also responsible for all the VIP electronic records, general administrative, human resource and accounting duties. Ellen graduated from University of Massachusetts in Dartmouth, she also received a Certificate of Accounting from Bentley College. She resides in Chelmsford with her husband Jim.

ROBERT M. MOORE, Funeral Assistant
Bob has worked as a funeral assistant with Badger Funeral Homes for more than 20 years. A Vietnam veteran, Bob proudly served his country in the United States Army. Prior to his retirement he worked for Archdiocese of Boston for over 25 years and is an active member and communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Ayer. Bob’s dedication and kind demeanor has proven to be a wonderful addition to the Badger team. Bob resides in Ayer and enjoy spending time with their family.

OUR HISTORY

Badger Funeral Home was founded in Groton, Massachusetts by Harris L. Badger in 1921. His son William A. Badger continued the business and in 1954 opened the Littleton, Massachusetts location. His son David W. Badger continued to operate this third generation family owned business until his retirement in 2016 when he sold the business to licensed Funeral Director Glenn D. Burlamachi.
